Privacy
This page has two parts: how we handle the details you give us on this website, and the Privacy Notice for the AZkont app. The Albanian version is authoritative.
1. The azkont.com website
Who processes the data

What we collect
Only what you type into the «Request a demo» form: your name, business and phone, and if you fill them in, your city, number of tills and email.
Why
To contact you about the demo or offer you asked for, at your request. We do not use it for advertising and do not give it to third parties.
Where it is kept and for how long
The request is emailed to our team and kept as a backup copy on the server that hosts this website. We delete it after 12 months unless you become a customer; then the app Privacy Notice below applies.
Spam protection
To limit the number of requests from one network, the IP address is stored only as a hashed value and deleted after one hour. The hosting server keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address and request time, for security.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses no cookies, analytics or third-party services. Fonts and files are served from our own server.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data at info@azkont.com. Complaints may be made to the competent supervisory authority in the Republic of Kosovë.
2. Privacy Notice for the AZkont app
1. Roles
For data processed in the Software about your customers and your business, you (the business) are the data controller and we act as processor on your instructions. For account and licensing data we hold about you as our customer, we are the controller.
2. What is processed
Operator names and identifiers; PINs, stored only as salted, iterated hashes and never in readable form; sales transactions, articles, prices, payment methods and cancellation reasons; fiscal coupon data including the unique coupon identifier and the operator who issued it; a device identifier derived from your hardware, an installation identifier, the device certificate and licence status; an administrator e-mail address, used only to recover administrator access, which is transmitted together with the taxpayer identification number and unit number when such a reset is requested; integrity-check alarms; application, audit and transmission logs; and any customer-identifying information you choose to enter. Sale contents transmitted to our back office are encrypted before they leave the device. A limited set of identifiers travels alongside in readable form so that transmissions can be matched and reconciled: the coupon identifier, coupon type, reference numbers, timestamps and fiscalization status. The coupon language chosen for each sale is stored with the sale.
3. Why, and on what basis
To operate the point of sale and issue fiscal coupons (performance of our contract with you); to transmit fiscal data to the Tax Administration of Kosovë, which is a legal obligation under the Law on Tax Administration and Procedures and Administrative Instruction (MF) No. 01/2026; to keep audit and integrity records required by that legislation; to provide support; and to operate licensing and anti-tampering controls, including periodic licence-status checks and automatic reporting of integrity-check failures (legitimate interest, and legal obligation where the tamper-evidence of fiscal records is concerned).
4. Who receives it
The Tax Administration of Kosovë, as required by law. Our back-office service, which stores operational and reporting data on secure infrastructure operated on our behalf under written confidentiality and security obligations. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
4a. Anonymised statistics
We derive aggregated, anonymised statistics from usage of the Software and use them to operate, secure and improve our products. Anonymisation is irreversible: the result cannot be linked back to you, your business, your staff or your customers, and we retain no key that would allow re-identification. Anonymised statistics are no longer personal data. Your identifiable transaction data is never used for this purpose and is never shared with other clients.
5. Where it is stored and for how long
Locally on your device, encrypted, and on our back-office infrastructure. Fiscal records are retained for the period required by tax law (approximately six years) and cannot be deleted before then, including on request, because the law requires their retention and the records are immutable by design.
6. Security
Local database encryption; HTTPS with TLS for all transmission; fiscal coupons signed with a private key generated on the device that never leaves it; row-level hashing and a fiscal hash chain that make tampering detectable; role-based access with per-operator PINs. Sales content, records and backups are sealed with a business key. Our back-office service holds that key only in sealed form, closed with a key managed by our cloud provider’s key service; our panel cannot open it. It is released only to a till of that business, after a one-time code sent to the business e-mail address held in the panel, so that a forgotten password can be reset. Every release is recorded and the business is notified by e-mail. Through that path we are technically able to open a business’s data; we do so only for that reset and at the business’s request, never through the panel. On an ATK inspection request AZkont produces a sealed inspection file for the device (audit records, ATK transmissions and sales, exactly as the till exports them) that opens only with the ATK inspection password, also for tills that no longer exist; every generated file is recorded.
7. Your rights
Subject to the retention obligations in clause 5, individuals may request access, correction, restriction, objection, and erasure where no legal retention duty applies. Requests should be directed to the business operating the point of sale as controller; we will assist as processor. Complaints may be made to the competent supervisory authority in the Republic of Kosovë.
8. Backups
Backups you create are sealed with the business key. They open on a till of the same business, and resetting the business password does not lose them. The key is held sealed by our back-office service as described in clause 6; we are therefore technically able to open them, but we do so only during a reset the business itself has asked for. We never receive the business password. On an ATK inspection request AZkont produces a sealed inspection file for the device (audit records, ATK transmissions and sales, exactly as the till exports them) that opens only with the ATK inspection password, also for tills that no longer exist; every generated file is recorded.
9. Changes
Material changes to this Notice follow the same notice process as the Terms of Use.
10. Language
This Notice is published in Albanian, English and Serbian. The Albanian version is the authoritative one.
